A purpose built radio control centre
featuring state of the art electronics will be used
to keep track of the Racers. The mainstay will be HF SSB
Radio. Using speech and digital modes, we will be able
to keep in contact with the support boat and some of the
racers in their 10ft boats directly on a daily if not hourly basis!
Keep an eye on the website as all the latest information
will be here sent directly from the ocean using AIRMAIL
software. This handles radio emails (No WiFi out there!)
plus picture attachments and automatic position tracking
will keep you informed as it happens.
A new 45ft mast has been erected and will
shortly be covered in antennas suitable for long range
