Welcome to Paul Boucher's page. I’m Paul
Boucher, I live by the ocean at Eastpoint, Fl, USA. I've spent a lot
of time working on my design and creating models but it's now time to
get stuck into building the real thing! My AiT challenge is: To
Survive ten days in a ten foot "Junkette" boat in the Gulf
of Mexico. This is an Endurance Challenge, a preliminary test of
vessel and skipper. Secondary, is the distance that can be achieved
within those ten days, GPS nautical miles . . . Steve can update.
Starting date TBA. My boat is not finished, so there is time.
Prelimary starting place could be the Apalachicola Maritime Museum,
route could be to cross the Gulf to Texas? Could a loop Apalach -
Galveston - Key West - Tampa - back to Apalach? Primary to this
challenge is to test cargo capacity. Can the vessel hold enough
provisions? AND how far can the vessel go? I look forward to dialog ! |
