Welcome to the Around in Ten
Challenge . . .
We
challenge you to design/build a 10 foot (3mtr) microyacht and sail
around the world. Take any route and as long as you like but you
could end up having sailed the smallest boat around the world thus
breaking the current record held by Serge Testa since 1987! Sail
alongside a friend or with others. Why not set up a race between you?
Sail nonstop? Develope the knowledge how to do it. It WILL be done.
The first person to break the record will also pick up the AiT Trophy!
Alternatively,
create your own challenge. This could be from San Francisco to
Hawaii and back in a 10 footer. UK to Iceland in an inflatable 12ft
sailboat. Across the Pacific in an 18ft Polynesian catamaran! The
choice is yours. We would like to welcome new applicants, details of
their craft, start/finish point, details of YOUR
challenge, Please complete the application/survey form
remembering to give full details of YOUR challenge route and how they
would like to take part. Remember, the AiT Challenge is open to
ALL small sailboats of any hull configuration and sail type also.
